Skin cancer screening

Early detection of conspicuous moles and skin cancer is an important focus in our practice. We perform skin cancer screening with a computer-assisted technique of the latest generation, and also regularly offer this to all patients (GKV and private). The reason for this is that birthmark changes, e.g. on the back, can neither be objectively perceived by the dermatologist nor by the patient over a period of 2 years without photo documentation.

Apart from the history documentation, the software allows us to further analyze the images afterwards with artificial intelligence.

Even if the reasons for using digital skin cancer screening are obvious, it is unfortunately not covered by the statutory health insurances within the scope of the statutory skin cancer screening.
